Sue talked about work she had that had reached a certain stage but not progressed further .
She had been working into these pieces on her embellisher and adding in stitch.With exhibitions on the horizon she had wanted to move them forward .One consideration was how best to exhibit them.She thought hoops and we agreed but
they would need to be large enough to show off the wonderful colours and detail and not constrain them .
We considered that they might be good mounted all together on a backboard and would certainly make a statement.Sue 's work is process led so pieces materialise without being planned .She lets her materials dictate how she works , these have a nod to planetary shapes but did not start out that way.
The piece in this final image has been under consideration for some time .Sue had found a piece of fabric that complements it perfectly.
That's now settled but the work of preparation for exhibit now begins.It is a long and sometimes , fraught journey from inception to completion.
