Liz has also been to World Textile Day; one of her purchases is a zip bag made from an old kantha piece
She has been painting with the earth pigments she has made onto old huckleback cloth (which has a honeycomb weave) and added hand stitching to make book pages and onto soya soaked linen. Liz not happy that she accidentally splashed black pigment on her piece, but we liked it!
She has used found objects to rust dye African strip cloth and is making a book with a bark cloth cover.
More rusted strip cloth on an old wooden weaving bobbin and a piece with hand stitching that will be stitched together to form a vessel.
A gelli plate session with plants .
