Jenn had been exploring different ways of presenting her fish .She had used Contrado to print some of her photos of her free machined fish .One piece was on cotton ,the other on organza She also purchased some loosely woven scrim ,layering them together to give the illusion of fish beneath the river surface.
Some of her fish have been framed and she has made some ‘fish on sticks’ ,a little frivolity inspired by a free pattern by Anne Wood Handmade The wall hanging has presented some challenges and might be abandoned.
Janis has begun her embroidery course in Tredegar House which she is enjoying.
One of their first classes involved printing various marks on fabric
Some on black ,these look like flowers samples
Others on white
It looks like she had a lot of fun .The top image shows how she has already started to explore adding stitch.
She had also been exploring an idea of creating a companion piece to one she brought in August. We thought she should continue.
She tried out some metallic threads in the bottom one but disliked the effect.
