Nature is Fumi's main inspiration.She loves treasure hunting whether that's on local walks or on seaside holidays.She is always looking for 'ordinary things' like rocks and pebbles.If she is drawn to something she will emphasise often overlooked beauty in her found objects.
She uses different types of traditional Japanese craft in her work such as Sashiko ,Shibori and origami.
