Debby had completed her companion feather pieces. These are based on crow and magpie feathersThey are framed beautifully with Whistlefish frames.
They were very difficult to photograph as
they do not show the lovely colours she has used within the stitches ,nor the stitched words on the background.You will have to see them in life to appreciate the work properly.
She had also been adding to this piece for Quilters.It was a challenge that had to include a horizontal line.She has used intense blocks with lots of water with pencil and stitch to create areas of delicate colour.In addition she added the bursts of red appliqué as a contrast .She uses thin iron -on wadding as a backing.
